We hold the school league every year. We take part in football, have fun and can win trophies. Isabel and Lorna’s teams made it to the final. It was very competitive but Lorna’s team won in the end. Well done to all involved.

As part of our English reading we read novels in school. We have read Seabiscuit, A Flying Birthday Cake and Alone in your Teacher’s House. While we are reading the novels we do activities on them and sometimes play games. The novels are usually really fun and we learn lots of new words.

Every year we enter the Cumann na mBunscoil. Last year the girl’s team won the county final. We were very proud. This year we went to Moygownagh to play the other teams. We were very hopeful. We made our first confession the week before we made our First Holy communion. We went to the church and Fr. Kelly and members of our families were there. I enjoyed making my First Confession.

In the school garden we are growing cabbage, onions, potatoes and carrots. In May our classroom went out and planted the cabbage. The junior room planted potatoes. Tommy Walshe helped us. We have also done some planting indoors in pots. We are growing peas and cress I am looking forward to eating my cress!

On May 10th Fred the Party Professor came to our school. He does parties,magic tricks and he makes costumes. He can play the world’s smallest tin whistle. It was Caelán’s birthday so he used balloons make a pirate costume for him. I thought it was good, I enjoyed it.
