A Trip To Belleek woods

  Our school went to belleek woods and learned all about it .We walked to the concrete boat and learned about its history . It is called the SS Crete boom.Did you know they used it in WW1 for ammunition?We collected acorns and we are going to plant them. By Conor.

Making and Baking

Toady we had some fun making pancakes and even more fun eating them. It is pancake Tuesday and tomorrow is Ash Wednesday so we are keeping the tradition of using up the eggs and making pancakes. We had some lemon, jam, cream and chocolate on our pancakes. Thomas also make some scones which were delicious.

Lá Fhéile Bríde

Today we learned once again how to make our own St Brigid’s day cross. We collected the rushes at home or in some of the fields around the school. Some of the children made them from paper. We hope that they will last the whole year.

Chess who’s back?

Today we had a visitor to the school who will teach us how to play and get better at chess. Master Ruddy will visit our school each week this term to help us improve. We are all looking forward to taking part in some matches against other schools

Shoe box appeal

We brought shoe boxes with alot of toys, clothes and hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and handsoap, we do this so we can give to the kids in the poorer countries.

Potatoes

We planted potatoes befor the summer and when we came back after the summer they were ready to be dug up. Some students dug up the potatoes and some of the other students washed them and peeled them and cooked them every student got some and they were very nice.
